The Skygarden, initially planted with hardy, water efficient species, has been embraced by the residents and evolved through their work. As the garden has reached maturity, species such as the Karkalla (carpobrotus rossi) and Mat Rush (lomandra longifoilia ‘tanika’) have created monocultures, which have been repurposed. Over eighty individuals have contributed to the introduction of a kitchen garden as well as a cottage flower garden; the latter recently featured on a television program.
Petrichor Collaborative were approached to consider a holistic method to integrate these different garden themes and improve the accessibility of the garden beds to enhance both the experience and visual appeal of the Skydeck.
