We teamed up with Uncle Robbie Thorpe to guide a walk through the swamplands of Queen Victoria Gardens, sharing stories of eels, wetlands, and food bowls, then moving to Camp Sovereignty, a resting place and continuing gathering ground, to yarn about the future of this place.
Knowing what this place was, knowing what it still is, is a critical first step in towards a future with more culturally grounded landscapes that can tell these stories and lessons and pass them onto the future.
